1] It was raining off and on here yesterday, with lots and lots of misty drizzle in between some heavy downpours, but mostly mist and drizzle for the whole day. Every time that happens I always see people with their windshield wipers on full blast. Do these people not know about the "intermittent" setting? For some strange reason this really bothers me when I see it...and sometimes it will have stopped raining all together but they've still got those wipers going crazy.
2] The phone rings last week here at the office. I look down at my caller ID screen; an 800 number came up with the words "Wisconsin" below it. No, the state of Wisconsin was not calling me. The number and name are all too familiar, it's Verizon trying to sell us more features, they call about 2 or 3 times per week, even though we ask to be removed from their list. Here's how the conversation went down:
verizon lady: Good afternoon, can I please speak with the person in-charge of the phones?
me (in a very pissed-off voice): That's not me, but isn't this the 3rd time you guys have called this week?
verizon lady: Okay sir, judging from the tone of your voice I'm not going to even bother. Goodbye.
3] I went for my usual run last night, and it was the worst run ever. About two blocks from the house I got the hiccups...a bad case of them. Ever tried running with the hiccups? It's not easy, but I forged ahead. Then....about 15 minutes later I was motoring along, trying to breath through the hiccuping when a large bug few right into my mouth and down ye ole windpipe. I hacked and hacked to try and get him up, but there was no way, he was lodged in there pretty good. My mouth was dry from the run, but I swallowed as best I could and down the hatch he went. After this I thought it would be best to call it a night and took the shortest route back to the ranch. Better luck tonight, hopefully.
