'05 is about to wind down and '06 will be upon us at the stroke of midnight. Hard to believe the year went by so fast...and with some many great memories. The highlight of course had to be the wedding, but there so many more. The best part is that I have this website as a chronicle of all that went down. I think I'll take some time this weekend to read back through a few of the original entries.
I'm not one to create a new years resolution, but I have set out to accomplish two big goals this year. The first is a personal goal, the Pan Mass Challenge, something I have wanted to do for a while, and WILL do this year. I've written about it briefly here, and over the course of the next few months you'll here much, much more, but essentially it's a 200 mile bike ride across the state to raise money for the Dana Farber Jimmy Fund. With Cleverdon on board to ride alongside me I know this is a goal we'll both accomplish! (and p.s. - Clev bought a road bike this week....so it's time to start training). Stay tuned for more details!
The second is a professional goal. The time for the ARE, Architectural Registration Exam, is now upon me. They should really call it Exam's, highlighting the "S", because it isn't just one, but 9 separate exams you must pass to be officially recognized as an architect. I will finish my "intern" hours in about a month and then plan to start hitting the books and cranking out the tests. Should take me a little over a year to study for and take all the exams. If I can get the first 6 done in 2006 I will be very happy! Speaking of books...I ordered up a whole bunch of study guides and practice CD's today to start the ball rolling. Can't wait to dive right in!
So there you have it folks...no time to dwell on the past that is 2005, just time to push forward with the new year and some great goals to accomplish. Hope everyone out there has a happy and safe new year.
