That's right folks...we've gone wireless here at 18 Whittier Street and gotten ourselves a bright and shiny Dell laptop. We didn't break the bank on this guy, but just got something that'll get us online when we travel and gives us a place where I can dump photos! The cool part about Longfellow the Laptop (that's his name, since Kelly and I give everything a name. My truck is Teego, just an example) is that he came today, on my birthday. Yes my peeps, today I turned the big 2-8. Closer and closer to 30 every year.
Today was a great day actually. I got up , rode the bike for about 45mins and then went out to grab some breakfast before I had to be over at one of our clients. I hit up a local diner and treated myself to a western omlet and homefries...hey, it's my birthday right! After that I spent some time sifting through some old drawings and after about an hour I found what I was looking for and made my way back to the office. Just after lunch Charlie the UPS guy showed up with a big Dell box in hand and I knew he had the goods. Time to set it up and load it with software. I think I've got most everything loaded and ready to go at this point. Maybe a few more things to do, but for the most part Longfellow the Laptop is in full operational mode.
After work I came home to a great lasagna dinner cooked by Kel. What more could a guy ask for right? The me al was hearty and she even bought me a chocolate cake for dessert. Can't beat that. Oh but wait, she also got me a weekend subscription to the Boston Globe...something she vowed never to do (she gets upset when the paper gets left all over the apt) But she finally gave in....
Right now we're just chillin and watching some TV. I'm not one of those people who wants to make a big to-do about my birtday...just a nice day and I'm happy! Another year down and hopefully a whole bunch more lie ahead.
