We're back from the Cape and I know you're looking for a recap/photos of Murph and Gowdy's wedding but you're going to have to wait a few days. It's going to take me a while to sift through the 715 photos I snapped over the weekend and gather my thoughts. Yes, you read that correct, 715 photos!
Let's get to the million dollars though. As you most likely know, my sister, Erin is dating a guy by the name of Matt. Well Matt's dad was playing a $5 Mass. Lottery scratch ticket on Thursday night when he hit the big time. The guy won 1 Million Dollars! Unbelievable. Erin called me on Friday morning out on the golf course to fill me in. Matt and his dad made a b-line to Lottery HQ over in Braintree on Friday morning and he'll be taking home $35,000 for the next 20 years. (after taxes and no option for a lump sum payout on the scratch tickets) Not bad ha? This is the picture that you can find over on the lottery website. They also have a little write up over there you can have a look at. As of right now Matt has no more student loans and no more car payments....must be nice!
Onto the baby part of todays title. After the rehearsal dinner wrapped up on Friday night Thomas and Karen (Kelly and I met at their wedding remember?) came over to meet up with all of us for some drinks and to hang out. That's when they sprung the news on us that Karen is 14 weeks pregnant. I always thought that they would be the first, but it still caught me off guard. It freaks you out when one of your best friends is having a baby. Me at least. Karen's due towards the end of January and we're so excited for them. Such a huge step! (and still kind of freaking me out)
Time to catch up on the sleep I missed out on over the weekend, so check back in a few days and I'll have a bevy of photos up from the wedding. Oh, and just to wet your whistle, here's a shot of Kelly and Bob-dog cutting it up on the dance floor. Yep, that's just how off the chain it was folks. Hopefully Bob-dog didn't throw out his back with those moves!
