Okay kids...here's the quick update I promised earlier. This weekend has been hectic, good, but hectic. After a phenomenal impromptu cocktail hour at work on Thursday night I was officially feeling the Christmas spirit. Kel's mom and Steve decided to fly down from Canadia instead of driving so they got in at around supper time on Friday night. We just hung out at the apt for the night, but Murph and Gowdy along with Jo Jo and Jill decided to stop by too. It's cool that we'll all be hanging out together in a few days on the other side of the country too!
Saturday night Kel and her mom did some shopping and then we checked out the early showing of The Good Shepard before going to dinner. The movie was okay...nothing too special. Sunday was a great chill day. We watched the Pats game (while Kel and her mom baked) before heading to my aunts house for the traditional Polish dinner. We had pierogies, golumpkies, and of course some kielbasa. Not to mention some tasty rye bread. After we stuffed our bellies there we were off to Swampscott to attend mass said by Fr. Clyde. It's always great to see him and it was even more special going to Midnight Mass.
Monday, Christmas day was spent here at the apt opening presents before heading out to my parents for dinner. My mom made surf and turf and boy did it hit the spot. Filet mignon and baked stuffed shrimp. Man was it good. After a quick stop in at the O'Hara's in Canton it was back here...where we are now. So there you have it...Christmas weekend in a nutshell.
I need to show Kel's mom and Steve around tomorrow for a few hours before they head for the airport and then it's time to pack up for Wednesday. Erin is going to be minding our crib while we're gone so feel free to drive by and make sure she's not having any blowouts over here!
We'll catch you once we're back from The Golden State!
