Our week-long vacation in Cape May actually started in West Wildwood with the 2011 edition of Crab Fest. Kel and I were in charge of picking up the crabs at a place here near Philly so we had over $450 worth of them in the trunk of our car on the way down. 60lbs worth of goodness! Once again we had a huge crowd. Some 25 people chowing down on a mix of crabs seasoned with Old Bay and some with garlic and butter. Plenty of sides and desserts to go around too.
I can't think of a better way to start out the first evening of a vacation than by having a feast like this! Much thanks to everyone who helped out in making this possible.

The rest of our time in Cape May was spent on the beach...well as much as the raindrops would allow us too. By far the worst weather we've had down there in years. We still did manage to spend time on the beach every single day, it's just that a few times we got chased off by thunder and lightning.
it seems like every year we add more and more people to the list of those down there the same week as us. The Seraphin family, Nick and Jules...and Jules' family, and now Jo Jo and Jill! I think New Englanders are going to take over the town in a few years.
I actually didn't take too many snapshots during the week, though we did take several hundred photos of Erin and Matt [more on that below].
Had to finally get an Exit 0 sticker for the roof rack...
I also woke up to a dead battery one morning on the car. Turns out it had a bad cell so replacement was needed. $135 later I was back up and running. Funny thing is that the AAA guy came in an old amblance. The guy said it was a '93 and had over 500k miles on it!
We had a crazy night out at the Ugly Mug one evening. They had a DJ and a drummer up on stage and at first we didn't know what to make of it, but once they started to jam out it was awesome! Of course we snapped plenty of photos here...
So yeah...it went down-hill very fast!
A quick photo of Kelly and Jill on the lifeguard stand one evening when we stayed late on the beach for cocktails.
And the final photo I have is of Tommy from Hotdog Tommy's. I have no idea why we just tried this place for the first time, cause it is amazing. Best hotdog I've ever had...and worth the 30 minute wait in line! Check it out the next time you're in Cape May!
And that's all I got in terms of photos. We had a great, relaxing time, as usual in Cape May. A decent amount of time on the beach, some great meals, and plenty of drinks!

Check back later next week for some photos of my sisters little "trash the dress" session we did one evening as the sun went down. And be sure to "like" KRN Photography on Facebook for an early sneak-peak!
