So as I told you before before, Erin had mentioned to me a while back that she wanted to take her wedding dress into the ocean for some photos. A little "trash the dress" type thing, if you're familiar with the term. I'd never done anything like that before, but I sure was game. Hey...who better to practice on than my sister, right?
A few days before they "took the plunge" we went over to a quiet beach in north Cape May [on the Deleware River side] and got some photos of them on the beach. We had a great evening with some awesome light. They're both big fans of the beach and boating but they didn't get married anywhere near the beach, yet always wanted some beach-type photos. Figured we could help them out in that department! So Erin threw back on the wedding dress, did her hair and make-up, and Matt put on some linen pants and a nice shirt...off we went. Kel did a fantastic job as being the chief assistant, as usual! We also brought along a few props which really helped make the photos.
Who knew Matt had that kind over vertical leap?
I think we got some great shots and I'm sure you'll see a few of them hanging on the walls of thier house in the near future. Let me know what you think is the best?
Okay, be sure to check back next Wednesday for Erin and Matt: The Jump !
Thanks to Kel for snagging these "behind-the-scenes" shots.
These are all fantastic but love the color of the one with them jumping up in the air with the beach balls!

Loved all the shots, but until I see the "Jump" shots, I'd pick the one of Erin and Matt near the shoreline with Erin's veil in the breeze as my favorite.
I think all of these shots could replace ones taken by the wedding photographer, they're that good! Definitely shots to put in your portfolio.
