For the longest time Baby J just wouldn't eat "puffs". You'd pop one in her mouth and she'd just pucker up like you do when you don't like something and then she'd end up spitting it out. We tried several times...same result. She has a big thing about textures, so this didn't surprise us much. Even things like chicken need to be blended up really fine in her dinner so that there aren't any noticeable chunks.
This past weekend we found some "yogurt puffs" at the store and figured we'd give them a shot. Holy cow...she loves them! She's still mastering the art of picking them up and getting them into her trap, but for the most part she's got it down. The only hiccup is when they get stuck in her palm and she can't figure out where they went.
Gotta love that she claps for herself at the end. Good job little girl!
Lastly, a photo of her most favorite spot in the entire world; Standing up alongside the ottoman and walking back and forth between it and the couch. Back and forth, back and forth...all day long!
I was out tending to the grill on Monday night when Baby J spotted me and came over to the sliding glass door to have a look. Kelly stood her up and she went back and forth between the door and the baby gate just next to it.
I made some funny faces towards her and of course she smiled and laughed, but then she decided it would be funny to smush her face up against the glass for me to see. And yes it was funny...Kelly and I were laughing hysterically.
My camera lens has been back for a few weeks now [that's a whole 'nother story!], but that's no excuse for not getting more stuff up here. Just busy with life I guess...and chasing around after this ALMOST 9 month old!
We had a wonderful weekend celebrating Easter with Baby J for the very first time. My folks made the drive down from Beantown to help celebrate and of course see J. On Saturday we got to visit with the Easter Bunny and on Sunday we shot down to West Wildwood for Easter Dinner with all of Kel's family. A very enjoyable weekend for sure and so great to see everyone...
and how great is J's dress that her nana made for her?
