#babyJ sure didn't seem like a "baby" anymore when we dropped her off for her first day of pre-school last week! Getting bigger and bigger every single day and speaking so many words, full sentences actually. Ready to head out on her on at school...
You really can't get much cuter than these photos, can you?
We hung around town for Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day Weekend and then ventured "down the shore" on Sunday night...hanging around there until Tuesday, making it an extra-long weekend! We camped out at MomMom and PopPops place in West Wildwood.
On Monday, Labor Day, we packed up and spent about 5 hours on the beach in North Cape May. NCM is totally different than Cape May itself. Very quiet, small beaches, and virtually no waves, which is great for little ones. This is essentially the bay side, so the mouth of the Delaware River. Great views of all the Cape May-Lewes Ferry's heading in and out too!
BabyJ loved her little pool that we brought and filled up for her...
BabyR, maxin in the sand!
I wish someone would dig me a nice hole in the sand to sit in!
Captain and Terry joined us after about an hour. Up until then it was pretty much a private beach for us. Not a sole around except for a dog walker here or there.
I see Big Red!
Pretty sweet, right?
My swimming buddy! She loved it. Kept wanting to "foat". [translation: float]
Our good friends Nick and Jules were down in CM for the week, so they joined us over on the North side for a few hours too! BabyB's first time in the Atlantic, or any ocean for that matter!
Kel was SO happy that J took a nap on the beach! She kinda had to...she didnt sleep much the night before and was running and swimming like a crazy person. Tuckered herself right out!
Monday night we had to stop over on the deck at the Lobster House for a quick bite...pretty much a must do when you're down that way.
Tuesday morning we made breakfast with MomMom and PopPop, and by "we" I mean "BabyJ". Such a good helper with the pancakes!
After breakfast we joined N+J and thier little guy at the condo they were renting to check out the pool for a bit [great spot, we rented here back in 2013!] BabyJ loved the pool...had to pull her out kicking and screaming when it was time to pack up and head home!
Perfect little 2 day get-away, just what the doctor ordered!
As you saw a few posts back, I did the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and donated some money to the cause. Well, a few of us at work also decided to give it a try as well and donate even some more money. The Phillies are a longtime client of ours and allowed us to use the ballpark as a backdrop...pretty cool. A few stills of that below:
Kelly also got in on the fun when her former boss challenged a bunch of collegues from all over the globe. A few stills from that below too:
If you haven't done the challenge you really should...and donate a few bucks too! It feels especially great on a nice, hot day like today!
