What a great weekend. Some bike riding and plenty of family and friends...doesn't get much better than that!
#PMC2015 weekend started for us with a Thursday night drive from Philly to Boston. It was a long one. Plenty of stops with the kiddos and some nasty summer road construction that slowed us down. We didn't arrive until very late and very tired!
First order of business on Friday morning...a new "Peppa" dress from Grammy for someone's 3rd birthday! Think she liked it?
Friday was spent with Erin and Matt and the little ones over in Malden. Izzie the dog too! It was great to finally meet Baby E!
It was a beautiful day and the girls all enjoyed some time in the pool...
As did Matt and I...
We eventually made our way back to Norfy for the night...
Saturday morning was an early start [as they pretty much all are these days!] and we made our way over to the famous Cherry Street in Wrentham to watch some of the day 1 PMC riders come by.
I actually got a quick 10 miler in to stretch the legs before my ride the next day...
Then we were off to Cherry Street...
No place like Cherry Street on the PMC route, that's for sure. I always look forward to it when I do the full 2-day ride and I'm glad we got to bring the girls over to have a look and get excited for the following day.
That afternoon we had a host of folks over to my parents house to visit and put some burgers and dogs on the grill.
Guess who loved her first taste of kielbasa?
I couldn't wait to crack one of these open after the ride! Official PMC beer!!!
Sunday morning it was go-time for my PMC ride. Just did the shorty 1-day 50 miler, but it felt great to be back at the PMC after taking last year off.
Pretty cool to be joined by the Governor of Massachusetts and Mayor of Boston for the ride...
Group photo at the rest stop in the parking lot of Gillette Stadium. [ Go Pats!!! and #FreeBrady! ]
Always very cool to roll into the finish and see all our family and friends!
My favorite photo of the weekend! So great to have Kelly and the girls there for the finish!
After a post ride shower and some relaxation we made our way down the street to the Clev's house for dinner and to hang out and catch up. Great to have a few beers and watch the kiddos kick the soccer balls around the backyard!
Great to share a PMC beer with this guy. I rode by first PMC with him back in 2006...hopefully we'll get him out there again in 2016?
Monday morning it was time to get on the road and make our way back to NJ...not before another quick story with Grammy!
We broke our return trip up with a stop for lunch in NY with Nick and Jules and there little guy. We only got to visit for a few hours, but it was great to hang with them for a bit and gave the girls a chance to stretch their legs! Jules had some great birthday dress-up gifts for J...of course she loved them! Thanks Aunty Jules!
We finally rolled into the driveway later on Monday evening. A great 4 days away getting to see a lot of family and friends and raising a boat-load of money for the PMC!
