Dear PMC Supporter,
It’s hard to believe, but this August 5th and 6th will mark my 10th ride in the Pan Mass Challenge. I’ve been riding since 2006 and have only missed two years when each of the girls were born. Participating in this 2-day, 200 mile bicycle ride across Massachusetts is something I look forward to each year. Through your generous support over the years, I have been able to raise nearly $55,000 dollars for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.
As a cancer survivor who was treated at Dana Farber, I know all too well the value and significance of the dollars this ride raises every summer. This is why I am extremely grateful that I have the opportunity give back to the institution that has given so much to me.
Once again I will be riding with Team Xaverian, which includes alums, parents, and friends of Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood, MA. Our fundraising directly supports the Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Outcomes Clinic at Dana Farber, founded by Dr. Chris Turner, a 1985 graduate of Xaverian. The clinic is now lead by Dr. Peter Manley and both doctors now ride on our team.
This year the PMC has set another ambitious goal for the ride to raise $48 million. When we, a collective 5,000 riders, reach the goal, it will bring the total raised by the PMC since 1980 to over $600 million. Please contribute what you can, knowing that as in years past, each dollar raised by riders goes directly to Dana Farber.
I have set a goal for myself of raising $10,000 for the 2017 ride and would very much appreciate your donation. Please use the link below to contribute. You can also mail me a check made out to the “Pan Mass Challenge”. [I can get you my address if you need it]
Remember, no donation is too large!
Thank you in advance,
